Encoder Test Bed

This is an example of a small project done for itRobotics to ensure that the encoders used to measure the length of pipe that had gone through our tool were calibrated and not influenced by EM interference. The motor, power supply, and power conditioning circuit were made to be shielded from EM interference itself and housed in a metal box with CE components and shielded wires. It was used to rotate a coupled encoder placed outside of the protective housing. The encoder readout was compared to the motor readout. I wrote the motor control sofware VI shown below in labview.
